A UNIQUE FESTIVAL IN PARADISE
In 2016 we conducted the fourth edition of the Carnival of Bahidorá, in conjunction with Global Dist. It was held at Las Estacas a park in the state of Morelos just 90 minutes from Mexico City. Each year it has a greater international importance having been chosen by different publications such as BeatPort and Time Out as one of the best festivals in the world. It has also been named the best music festival in Mexico by publications such as Marvin, Me Hemos Ruido and El Fanzine. We have had the participation of great bands like De La Soul, CocoRosie, Modeselektor, Rhye, Police, BadBadNotGood, Gold Panda, Bulletproof and other countless artists and performances. All making the facilities and atmospheres unique in order to position Bahidorá as one of the most important events in the world.
To be a collective experience, where music and art are the main focus under one roof. Keeping the environment in mind, we seek to be a totally sustainable festival, recycling materials and achieving 0 carbon emissions.
With the plethora of festivals in Mexico and the world, how to be a unique proposal? And offer a complete and unforgettable experience for attendees.
The idea –
Mexico is one of the most important places in the world for musical performances, concerts and festivals, it is a must for every relevant band, artist or musician.
We decided collaborate with Global District to make a festival that was really a complete experience. From the place, food, drinks, and especially music . It is all part of a collective unique experience: The Carnival of Bahidorá.
How did we do it? –
Ache, along with Global District , found an ideal location, Las Estacas . A paradisiacal natural park located near the city. A staff of more than 250 people, many of them involved throughout the year. A musical curatorship meant to live and highlight the place, unique scenery and a media strategy and public relations that made Carnival Bahidorá one of the most important music events in Mexico.
Carnivals have been around since the Middle Ages. They are a place where people forget the daily routine, dress up and let out all that represses them. Keeping this in mind, we decided to resume this tradition and make the Carnival of Bahidorá.
